After having practiced criminal law for over two decades in both public and private practice, Mr. Canina witnessed firsthand how clients would often feel as if they were “numbers” in higher-volume law firms. He saw how other lawyers would often fail to effectively communicate and genuinely connect with their clients, simply because they made themselves too busy to devote the needed time and attention to their cases. Mr. Canina opened his own law firm in 2008 with a vision to give every, single client the highest level of personal service and individual attention that they deserve. His unique, client-centered approach has since proven to be extremely successful.
In 2012, he welcomed into the firm his son, Richard A. Canina, who had previously defended against thousands of misdemeanor and felony charges with the 20th Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office in Fort Myers, FL. In 2017, his daughter, Lauren Canina Roberson joined the firm after serving as a civil prosecutor with the Florida Attorney General’s Office. Today, her practice focuses exclusively on criminal defense, including DUI, sex crimes, and other serious felony charges throughout Brevard County.
